Ice Cream..Not For Kids Anymore

Maybe it's just me, but I find the new Dairy Queen commercials are just a little bit sexual. It seems that everyhing in the media has to be about sex, and now even ice cream. But I guess "sex sells". When I think of Dairy Queen, I think of a place I used to love to go to when I was a kid. It's a little weird to me to be incorporating that with sex. There should really be a limit on what people use sex to sell. Anyways, just my opionion.

Rosie vs Elizabeth

Recently Rosie O'Donnell announced that she would make her exit from The View at the end of June 2007. Some people think Rosie was fired after she continuously spoke out about her opinions regarding George Bush, 9/11 and the was in Iraq. On May 23, 2007, Rosie and co-star Elizabeth got into a heated argument about Bush and the war in Iraq. Rosie later made an announcement saying she would not be returning to The View for her final few weeks. I find it just a little odd that Elizabeth would defend Bush to a point where she got angry and was practically yelling on national television. She is completely unwilling to listen to what anyone has to say about Bush and/or 9/11. I truly hate people like this. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, but when you are unwilling to even listen to FACT, than your opionion means nothing to me. And why should it, when all she knows is what she wants to know. Another weird thing, apparently Elizabeth was recently invited to have dinner with George Bush himself at the white house. How often do ya think talk show hosts and former Survivor stars get invited to the white house? I'm thinking never. So maybe there is a little more there then we know. To watch a clip of the fight between Rosie and Elizabeth, you can watch at at this website:http://youtube.com/watch?v=7iEXvOMJL6g

Find Out Who Your Friends Are

Run your car off the side of the road
Get stuck in a ditch way out in the middle of nowhere
Get yourself in a bind lose the shirt off your back
Need a floor need a couch need a bus fare

This is where the rubber meets the road
This is where the cream is gonna rise
This is what you really didn't know
This is where the truth don't lie

{Chorus}
You find out who you're friends are
Somebody's gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas get there fast
Never stop to think 'what's in it for me' or 'it's way too far'
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who you're friends are

Everybody wants to slap your back
wants to shake your hand
when you're up on top of that mountain
But let one of those rocks give way then you slide back down look up
and see who's around then

This ain't where the road comes to an end
This ain't where the bandwagon stops
This is just one of those times when
A lot of folks jump off

{Chorus}
You find out who you're friends are
Somebody's gonna drop everything
Run out and crank up their car
Hit the gas get there fast
Never stop to think 'what's in it for me' or 'it's way too far'
They just show on up with their big old heart
You find out who you're friends are

When the water's high
When the weather's not so fair
When the well runs dry
Who's gonna be there

Im Lost

So how about that Lost season finale last night? Are you freaking kidding me? They get off the island? I don't really know what to think about that. I just hope they have somewhere really good to go with that story-line. After a surprisingly disappointing season of Lost, they certainly surprised me in the finale. I'm not to sure if it was a good surprise or not, but definitely a surprise. I think the episode was really well done last night. My favourite part was when Jack told Kate he loved her. I've been waiting for that one for three seasons now:P The one thing I find very odd is that in the flash forwards:P, Jack talks about father as if he is still alive in more than one scene. In one part he says "Go up stairs and get my father. If he's less drunk than I am, you can fire me." or something along those lines. Weird if you ask me:P Well, it sucks that I won't find out what is going on until January 2008.:S Seems so far away, maybe cuz it is:P I think the worst part about that is wondering if Charlie is okay:P.

Sens Vs Ducks

So the Sens will be playing the Ducks in the Stanley Cup finals. Oh I really love the sound of the Sens in the finals:):P. It's gonna be tough. It should be an interesting series. GO SENS GO!

Crazy Car

So the other day I was sitting outside of the school with Emily when we saw a little blue Civic drive by. The odd thing was, the driver was driving from the passengers seat. :S I know that's how it is in some other countries but you would think it would be illegal here. Anyways, I just thought it was funny:P

The Simpsons OutFox

I have now seen more than one episode of The Simpson's where they make jokes regarding Fox and Fox News. I find this very odd considering The Simpson's is a Fox show. Like everyone else in the world, I love The Simpson's and was very impressed by seeing them say these things. Here is a little example of some of these jokes, not the best one but it gives the point.

Britneys Flip Show

I recently watched an episode of one of those shows like Access Hollywood or Entertainment Tonight(not really sure which one). Anyways, they were talking about how Britney Spears had a conniption on an airplane because the seats were not made of leather. After demanding to be let off the plane before it took off, she held up the flight and the passengers on board for over an hour while her loads of luggage were carried off the plane. It's pretty ridiculous that she thinks she is so important that hundreds of people should be held up for such a long time for something as stupid as what she was sitting on. I hope the majority of celebrities aren't like this. Maybe it's just Britney. After all she is a little....ya know:S. This has nothing to do with that, I just think it's funny. Later that night she was caught lip syncing during a performance when the track skipped. She turned around hoping no one would notice. Sorry Brit, they did. Not that they didn't already know.:P

Officer and a Gentleman?

So the season finale of The Bachelor:Officer and a Gentleman, was on last night. I know I wrote a post about The Bachelor a couple of months ago but, all though I do love the show, I'm just very bothered by the idea of it. Through out this two hour finale, Andy(The Bachelor) confessed his love to both women(Tessa and Bevon). I was a little confused but I was pretty much convinced of who he was going to propose to. Well I was wrong. Could it have been the I love yous or all the hugs and kisses, I'm not sure. All I know is that up until about 20 minutes before he proposed to his now fiance Tessa, he had no idea what he was going to do. Given an extra hour to think about it, he may have went a different way. Maybe it's just me, but I think if you TRULY love someone, it's impossible to also be in love with someone else. Andy also stated to not only his parents, but whoever had their channel tuned in to this show last night, that he had never in his life felt the sparks and electricity that he felt with Bevon. You would think if you were Tessa, that would make you a little insecure. Not to mention up until literally 5 minutes before what should be one of the most special days in Tessa's life, Andy was rejecting the last of the other 24 women he had dated through out the season. I just don't understand how these woman can truly believe that this man is in love with them or how they are in love with him for that matter. And to stand there and wait to see if he will choose you. How pathetic. And aaahhh....Gentleman? Ya real big gentleman, having women fight for his love while treating them like they are nothing when HE decides he doesn't want them anymore. I didn't know the definition of Gentleman was to go on national television with a bunch of girls drooling over you while you pick and choose through out them. And I just love how they all say "I didn't know it would be this hard". Like didn't you watch the last like 5 seasons of The Bachelor. HELLO:S I just think it's sad that in this day women are still being treated like objects on television. I'm pretty sure I've only seen one Bachelorette EVER. I guess it's less believable to think men would go to such lengths to find a wife. I truly find it hard to believe anyone would.

FINAL-LY

It's official, the Ottawa Senators are the Eastern Conference Champions and have a shot at the cup. I'm a little undecided on who I would like to see them play in the finals, but I'm leaning towards the Red Wings. Either way I'm just happy the Sens FINALLY made it to the finals:D.GO SENS GO

Ty Caught Drinking and Driving

So I don't know much about it, but I recently heard that Ty from Extreme Makeover:Home Edition was caught drinking and driving. This really upsets me. I watch this show almost every Sunday and as weird as I may have found Ty, I thought he was amazing for everything he does and I had a lot of respect for him. When I learned about this it was like I instantly lost total respect for him. I don't understand how someone who helps unfortunate families could risk the lives of other families by going on the road after drinking. I'm sure at some point there has been an episode of his show somehow surrounding drunk drivers. I still think it is amazing all of the families he and everyone else from the show have helped and made lives a million times easier but this just outrages me. I hope he thinks again before doing something that stupid again.

Food Ads On Clothing

So as we have established, advertisements are EVERYWHERE. So, yesterday morning my friend was wearing a t-shirt with a Froot Loops ad on it. I didn't think much of it at the time, except that it really made me want a bowl of Froot Loops, but later on last night I seen it again. I went to my friends house to watch the AWESOME hockey game(just had to throw that in there:P) and she was wearing P.J. pants with Nerds logo on them. I know ads on shirts isn't a new thing, but come on Froot Loops? I just think it's pretty crazy:P. I admit, they do make for some cute clothing though:P!

Natasha A.K.A. Nata

I was quite disappointed in the outcome of The Search For The Next Pussycat Doll. But since I'm a fan of them anyway, I don't really care. Also because chances are the winner is gonna get mad during rehearsal or something one day and punch them all out. Hopefully the outcome of America's Next Top Model will turn out a little better. So since Whitney left the show, I've decided that my new favourite model in the competition is Natasha a.k.a. Nata. So I just wanted to show her a little bit of support and talk about why I want her to win. So I don't know much about Natasha, other then she is from Russia and she moved to America when she was 18. She had an arranged marriage with a much older man. She now has a child too. During the 1st few episodes I found Natasha funny to watch but I never thought she'd make it this far. She is so beautiful and has grown so much as a model through out the competition. I hope she can pull it off. But if she can't, I would have to choose Brittany a.k.a. Brit, or Renee a.k.a. Nene(as much as I dislike her at times). I've thought Brittany was pretty awesome from the beginning. Although Renee can be quite the biotch at times and has probably rubber everyone in the house the wrong way at least once, I think she has great potential to be a model. Anyways, Go Natasha. And Tyra is freakin AWESOME:)

LATEST THOUGTHS(May 3rd 2007): So last night Brittany was the model who left. After watching her freak out during last nights challenge, I realized she is a bit a FREAKSHOW. So I was glad to see her leave.

LATEST THOUGHTS(May 17 2007): Well Natash didn't win:( Its very upsetting. I was hoping if she didn't win at least Renee would. But nope, it was Jaslene. Not impressed:P Oh well:P

Just For Fun

Beautiful Goal By Antoine Vermette. I was totally at that game:P.
