Officer and a Gentleman?

So the season finale of The Bachelor:Officer and a Gentleman, was on last night. I know I wrote a post about The Bachelor a couple of months ago but, all though I do love the show, I'm just very bothered by the idea of it. Through out this two hour finale, Andy(The Bachelor) confessed his love to both women(Tessa and Bevon). I was a little confused but I was pretty much convinced of who he was going to propose to. Well I was wrong. Could it have been the I love yous or all the hugs and kisses, I'm not sure. All I know is that up until about 20 minutes before he proposed to his now fiance Tessa, he had no idea what he was going to do. Given an extra hour to think about it, he may have went a different way. Maybe it's just me, but I think if you TRULY love someone, it's impossible to also be in love with someone else. Andy also stated to not only his parents, but whoever had their channel tuned in to this show last night, that he had never in his life felt the sparks and electricity that he felt with Bevon. You would think if you were Tessa, that would make you a little insecure. Not to mention up until literally 5 minutes before what should be one of the most special days in Tessa's life, Andy was rejecting the last of the other 24 women he had dated through out the season. I just don't understand how these woman can truly believe that this man is in love with them or how they are in love with him for that matter. And to stand there and wait to see if he will choose you. How pathetic. And aaahhh....Gentleman? Ya real big gentleman, having women fight for his love while treating them like they are nothing when HE decides he doesn't want them anymore. I didn't know the definition of Gentleman was to go on national television with a bunch of girls drooling over you while you pick and choose through out them. And I just love how they all say "I didn't know it would be this hard". Like didn't you watch the last like 5 seasons of The Bachelor. HELLO:S I just think it's sad that in this day women are still being treated like objects on television. I'm pretty sure I've only seen one Bachelorette EVER. I guess it's less believable to think men would go to such lengths to find a wife. I truly find it hard to believe anyone would.

i loveedddd that show!! .. watched it every week, but i reallly wantted bevon to win! i think that they made such a better couple than tessa and him! . they just had more in common and clicked more than tessa. And i totally agree with you, i dont understand how a group of girls can go in there and "fall in love" with that one man. its jsut not possible. like of course they are all going to say it because they are on tv, i just dont think that all works out as they said! and i hate the fact that he goes on dates with tessa and bevon, and says he loves both, but you cant love both, your "soul mate" or the person that is for you or whatever you want to call it, you cant pick between two women, he should have known for a longer time!

It's fascinating that network execs can actually fabricate love - by putting beautiful people in beautiful places and send them on beautiful dates and they get so many people thinking that this will work. These people who try out for the show really seem to think that they can find love in these artificial settings. Or, they fake it real good because they want to be on tv. Can love be packaged and sold as a product? Is anything out of their mouths authentic, or just the result of watching last seasons show, soap operas and cheesy love movies? Even in real life, when there are no tv cameras on, are we saying things because the thought was born in our mind, or because the situation we are in reminds us of one we saw on tv and we rememebr what we are supposed to say?
