Cards For Shane

At almost 5 years old, a young boy named Shane was diagnosed with Acute Lympholblastic Leukemia. 1 month into his treatment he was in early remission. Shane's family was very pleased with the early results, but his protocol called for 130 weeks of treatment. On July 6th, 2006 Shane relapsed after completing 108 of the 130 weeks. It shocking to everyone including his doctors. Shane may have to undergo a bone marrow transplant down the road, but the good thing is that his brother Jacob is a match. At the moment, there is no sign of cancer in Shane's system since relapsing. Shane is now nearly 8 years old. Shane is collecting birthday cards. He has already received thousands and he can always use some more. His birthday is on May 30th. He loves Motorcycles and frogs. And he is also a big Sens fan. Help make this boys birthday wish come true. Cards can be mailed to: SHANEC/O KISS FM2001 Thurston Dr.Ottawa ON, K1G6C9

sens, I wonder if you have heard about any updates about Shane - if he got to go to any of the Sens games or how he is doing? So sad, I am glad that you are using your blog to tell people about his story.
