I miss hockey sooo much already and there is still over three months until it starts again. I'm in denial. I guess I can't really complain considering I got to watch my team until the end. Although.......:( :P

Isn't That Song A Little Old?
So I am currently watching The Ellen Degeneres Show, which just happens to be my favourite talk show by far. I actually don't watch many talk shows, but when I do, it is either Ellen or Regis and Kelly. I love love love Ellen and Kelly. Anyways, point to my post, as I was watching Ellen, Bon Jovi was performing a song. The song just happened to be "It's My Life". I'm sure anyone reading this has heard that song, probably a million times, since it came out like at least five years ago. I remember listening to that song in public school. I just found that odd, since I know they have had more recent songs. I guess this could be because their more recent songs were not as successful as "It's My Life". Anyways, before I end this blog, just a little more love for my two favourite ladies in the talk show industry, Ellen Degenered and Kelly Ripa. P.S. Kelly Ripa also stars in a hilarious sitcom called Hope and Faith. For anyone who has not seen it, YOU SHOULD! it is great.
Surprise
I am soooooooooo excited:). On Saturday, me and a few friends of mine are throwing my best friend in the world a surprise party. See, my friend Danni's 20th birthday was last week. She went camping with a couple of friends, but there were so many of us that could not make it due to work:(.....So to make up for it we are celebrating her birthday all over again this weekend at McGinnis restaurant. We thought that would be the best place because one of the girls helping me plan the party works there. So after I get off of work on Saturday at 6:30p.m., I am going to go straight to Danni's house. We will get ready there while the other girls prepare at the restaurant. At 8:15 we will make our way to the restaurant, where a surprise will be waiting for Danni. I was a little worried that she might say she wants to go somewhere else for dinner, so I have decided to tell her that I have a gift certificate for McGinnis. I really hope everything goes perfect.
From Miss Teen U.S.A. To Daytime Television
Just something weird that I just noticed. I just came across a picture of last years Miss Teen U.S.A.. Turns out she now plays Stephanie on one of the soaps I watch, Days of our Lives. She has completely changed the character of Stephanie, but I think I like this one better. She is a little easier to believe as a person. Seems more like your typical young women just entering adulthood. I for sure like her acting far more than I liked the actress who played Stephanie. Hopefully she will be around for a while. Well I just thought it was weird. Not something I knew.

Two Weeks Til The Big Day
Even More On Canada's Next Top Model vs America's Next Top Model
As I was yet again watching Canada's Next Top Model tonight, I notice something that really disturbed me. These judges are far more judgemental than the judges on America's Next Top Model. On America's Next Top Model, they were promoting plus size models and you really didn't hear them talk as much about the girls bodies as much as you did their modeling talents. I was shocked to hear the judges on Canada's Next Top Model basically finding every little flaw in all of the girls and saying that these flaws are such a huge problem. Some of the things the judges were saying tonight were "she doesn't have a top model body", or "her legs are too short". Could you imagine, making it that far and they tell you, "oops sorry, you don't have long enough legs." I was already bothered that after America's Next Top Model took a stand and put to beautiful plus size models on the show, that Canada's Next Top Model did not follow the trend. For once, a trend worth following. Anyways, I guess each show has their pros and cons. Both shows are still awesome. GO CORII!!!!

I HATE Y&R's Latest Story Line.
So the latest story line on daytime's Young & The Restless is about everyone thinking that Nick Newman has died in a tragic plane crash. When Nick is found alive he is eventually brought back to Genowa City. When he wakes up in his hospital bed, his new wife, and mother of his baby girl, Phyllis is waiting for him. He sees Phyllis and tells her to leave and calls her by the last name she had before they were married. He then asks where his wife is. When she tells him that she is his wife, he says no where is Sharon. Sharon was Nick's wife before Phyllis and the mother of his son Noah. The also had a teenage daughter who died while he was still married to Sharon. So it turns out Nick thinks that their teenage daughter Cassie, is still alive. He has lost all memory of everything that happened since Cassie was in a car accident that ultimately killed her. I hate this so much. Phyllis is one of my favourite characters on all soaps, and by far my favourite on Young & The Restless. And I am not such a big fan of Sharon. Nick better get his memory back soon. He has a baby girl to take care of. I don't know why I didn't see this one coming.

13 Going On 30
13 Going on 30 is one of my favourite "chick flicks". I love it so much. I have seen this movie at least 10 times, and would watch it again anytime. I am not even sure what it is that makes me like this movie so much, but I am in love with it. The movie is about a 13 year old girl who at her birthday wishes she was 30. When she wakes up in the morning in her New York City apartment 30 years old, the last thing she can remember is sitting in her closet at her parents house on her 13th birthday, uttering the words "Thirty, Flirty and Thriving". At 30, Garners character, Jenna, was a success, working for a huge magazine and a NHL star for a boyfriend. Working at the magazine with her was the head girl in the popular clique. They had remained best friends since they wete in jr. high school. She was all of the things she always wanted to be and worse. She had turned into a horrible person. She goes to the apartment of her old bestfriend Matty, played by Mark Ruffalo, after calling his parents to find out how she could find him. Matty looks at her in confusment and tells her that they have not been friends since the day of her 13th birthday party when she through his present at him and never talked to him again. Jenna had stopped being Matty's friend and began hanging out with the popular girls. She had no idea how this all happened, all she knew is that she did not like the person she became. Matty and Jenna become close through out the movie and after a series of events fall in love with each other. There was only one problem, Matty was engaged. At the end of the movie, Matty goes off to marry his fiance out of obligation and the fact that Jenna had hurt him so bad all those years ago. After confessing her love to him and being shot down, Jenna sits alone and closes her eyes. When she opens them, she is once again sitting in the closet at her parents home at the age of 13. She smiles and opens the closet where she finds Matty standing and she jumps on him and kisses him. She than blows off the group off popular girls, and makes it sure that she will never have a friendship with them. I love that they made it so that Matty stayed a good guy by following through with his wedding. I also like that Jenna was able to live her life. It would be sad to not have any memories from the age of 13 to 30. The very end of the movie shows Matty and Jenna getting married as adults. Garner was so cute in this movie. My favourite part of the movie is where they do the dance from the Thriller video by Michael Jackson at the party for the magazine that Jenna worked for called Poise. I love her co-star too. Very talented. He is quite the looker:P. I am so surprised and disappointed in how many people I know that have never seen this movie. In fact, I do not know many that have. I actually seen it by chance. It was on the movie network after another movie I was watching, and I started to get into it, so I kept watching. I was so glad I did..I think that I may have to purchase this movie soon. It has been way to long since I have seen it.
The Things We Once Thought Were Cool
Remember when you thought scrunchies were cool? or when you loved the Spice Girls and The Backsteet Boys? Or how about that faze where you listen to nothing but rap? Well if you were anything like me, you thought those things were very cool at one time or another. Or how about those big shoes the Spice Girls wore. Wow, did I ever think those were awesome. Well times have changed, and I can't help but wonder what I was thinking. I am sure that in 10 years from now I will be laughing at myself for wearing everything from flats to polka-dots to big sunglasses. I remember thinking that polka-dots were not very cool when I was younger. Now I find them adorable. It is crazy how much time and experience can change someone. Not to mention current trends and fads.
Crocs
I have yet to buy myself a real pair of the latest fashion trend, Crocs. I really want a pair, but I am undecided on what colour and what style I would like. At first, I thought that Crocs were horrifyingly ugly. Some how, they have grown on me. I still don't think that they are that great to look at, but with a nice colour and considering how confortable they are, a little been of unattractiveness won't hurt. I am amazed at how fast this new fad developed. It was like everyone had discovered them overnight. I have never seen any advertisements for them, which makes me really wonder where this trend originated. I love that they have came up with so many new styles that are far less ugly then the original styled Crocs. The flats are my favourites but I have yet to see them in any Kingston stores.
Facebook Graffiti
My favourite new Facebook application is the graffiti wall. The graffiti wall allows you to draw pictures on your friends walls using a program that is similar to paintbrush. Here a couple examples of what can be done using the Facebook graffiti wall.
When it comes to love, does age really matter?
Age of Love is NBC's latest "social experiment". It is practically The Bachelor, with a twist. The show is based around the question "When it comes to love, does age really matter?". Age of Love, like the Bachelor, is a reality show where a man gets to date and chose between a group of women. However, instead of your regular group of beautiful young women in their twenties, Age of Love has half the women in their twenties and the other half in their forties. I think this show is going to be quite like the Bachelor. But I am interested to know what will ultimately triumph, youth or maturity.
My 3rd Ottawa Senators Game:)
On March 15th, 2007, I went to my 3rd Ottawa Senators game at Scoticbank Place. Again, we took the McCoy bus tours. This time, The Sens played The New York Islanders and came out on top with again a 5-2 win. So after we had bought our tickets to the game, we learned that the great Ryan Smyth was traded to the Islanders from Edmonton. It was so awesome to get to see him. Unfortunatley he did not score one of the two Islanders goals. But oh well, he was there, and do was I:). The Sens set a franchise record that night. The scored 3 goals in less than 2 minutes. I am not sure the exact time, but it was amazing. We almost missed the second and third goals because we were still in the process of celebrating the previous goal. It was a great night, I can't wait until October.

My 2nd Senators Game!
On December 2nd, 2006, I attended my 2nd Senators game. This one had a much better outcome. The senators won the game 5-2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning. We were sitting behind the away net, and every goal in the game was scored on it. It was great. I even got to see my favourite Lightning, Vincent Lecavalier, score a goal. Of course I would have love to see Razor get a shutout. But if there was any player on the other team I would have like to see score a goal, it would definietly be Vinny. Once again, we took a trip up on the McCoy Bus tours. Only this time there was only about 10 people going to the game on the bus, so we had a mini bus with a broken window. It was pretty crazy. The bus driver wasn't that bright, we were for sure worried about getting lost or being late for the game. But no worries, we made it, and I got to watch my first ever live Senators win.
Desperate For a Story
So I was reading a tabloid the other day, I think it was Star or something like that. Anyways, I was reading an article featuring the three female stars from the best sitcom of all time, Friends. The article was about how apparently Lisa Kudrow(Phoebe) and Jennifer Aniston(Rachel) did not get along. The article says that Lisa Kudrow and Courtney Cox(Monica) were spotted having a meal together at a restaurant while Anistion sat at a table alone on the other side of the restaurant. It goes on to say that a source said this and a friend said that, never giving any real names. There could be a number of reasons why the girls were not sitting together. Perhaps Aniston arrived earlier and was not spotted by Kurdrow and Cox. That is just one of the many explanations for this that do not revolve around Kudrow and Aniston hating each other. Not to mention, this would make Cox quite the biotch if you ask me. To leave her best friend Aniston, sitting by herself. Seems pretty unlikely. If you ask me, this reporter was just a little too desperate for a story.
My 1st Sens Game
In March of 2006, I heard the most exciting news, my sister had bought us tickets to a Ottawa Senators game. Of course I had to pay her back for my ticket, but knowing that in less than a month I was going to get to sit in the same building as my heros. It was so awesome. The game was against the Buffalo Sabres. My sister, her friend Nikki and I took a McCoy bus trip up. There was two huge coach buses going up to the game. The game ended in an embarrassing 6-2 loss for the Senators, but still, it was one of the bests nights of my life. I will never forget the moment that the Sens came onto the ice for the warm-up and I saw them for the first time. It was priceless. Something I will no doubt remember forever.
The IPhone
The Apple Inc.'s new cell phone, the IPhone, with it's touch screen and built in media player, is expected to be the "revolutionary" says Apple Inc.'s C.E.O. Steve Jobs. This phone made me realize just how important technology has become in my life and also how crazy technology is becoming. Now I thought the Motorola Razor phone was crazy. It is nothing compared to the new IPhone which is also a IPod music player as well as having the wireless web. The Razor recorded more sales than any other phone in history, selling over 50 million phones from 2004 to 2006. The IPhone is expected to set new highs when it comes to the cellphone industry. I can't wait til I can see an IPhone. I want one so bad. Although I know I will like never be able to afford it. My biggest issue with buying a cellphone is that it seems every time I buy a cellphone, something cooler always comes out a few weeks later. Now really, it is not like anyone can always be right on top of the latest style in the cellphone world. With today's technology, well it is pretty much impossible.
